Scene transitions in tour tool mode

Post by mallen » Tue Jul 17, 2012 2:38 pm

Hi Adam,

My animations are a little bit slow and shakey. The scene transitions in normal sketch up are much smoother. Is there a certain compression I should use or is my computer just being overwhelmed with detail while in tour tool mode?

Thanks,

The animation should not be related to the speed of your computer.

It's rendered as a 30 frames per second movie. Do you find problems on all Players of the movie? 30Hz movies are, for a bunch of technical reasons, actually recorded at 29.97 Hz, so I wonder whether some players are trying to play the 30 Hz movie at 29.97 resulting in a glitch.. I'll look into into it.

The animation is similar on different players.

I can get a sense of how the animation will generally turn out by manually selecting scences while in tour tool mode. If the scene transition is slow, then the animation usually follows in the same manner. The first animation in this link to you tube is an example of the scenes that would not change fast enough during recording and the whole animation became distorted. Because the scenes were slow in transition some were actually left out. There is quite a bit of detail in this one and it seems like there may be a point where the detail overwhelms the program? Scene transtitions in sketch up mode were fine.
