Resolution of 360 Panoramas

Post by kendallw » Tue Dec 27, 2016 6:57 pm

Is there an adjustable setting for the 360 Panorama or does it only render out at a single resolution? (2048x1024) Can it be twice or four times that? The images I am getting are very grainy. See sample attached.

The resolution of the 360 panorama is controlled by the setting for the "Cubemap Resolution". Go to Tools-LightUp-Settings-Save Cubemap Resolution and select "2048 x 2048". This will give 360 panorama with a resolution of 8192 x 4096, that should work nicely. A great strength of LightUp is the ability export images, including 360 panoramas, at very high resolutions very quickly without requiring re-rendering. The 8192 x 4096 export will be almost as quick as the smaller export.
