Multistorey Building

Post by bentleykf » Fri Oct 23, 2009 5:09 am

Hi Everyone,

I thought this was a pretty good draft of a render so I thought i'd share it. I've been playing around with IrCache's lately to give a pseudo-realistic appearance to the design. The glazing on the alley facade is one giant reflective surface that cuts through other objects. Its IrCache is just a bit below the glazing's centre and about 3m out from its surface. The glazing is the only material in the model and has an opacity of 30%, black colour (no texture), IOR of 1.52, Specular of 0.3577ish and a fresnel of 0.4678ish. The render is a combination of an IBDL blended Ambient Occlusion and sun as a direct source (x1, 0.1 turbidity).

IMO pretty boring building but pretty nice render ;) Really loving HDR files and IBL Blend.

It could do with a few tweaks.

Opinions and suggestions more than welcome.

You can share your settings with others and other projects by choosing Tools->LightUp->Export settings. (And Import settings for bringing them in).

It just a text file which you can look inside to confirm its not sharing anything sensitive.
