Adam , is it possible to rotate .hdr arround z axes. Also not sure how one does proxy? I will need a scene with a lot of heavy trees but do not want them in SU as it will kill it.
BTW quality of reflections and light now is very nice.

Not in v1.5, however, its been on the wishlist for a while so is likely to make it into LightUp Next. It will work by being able to drag the skybox around to orient it.

The underlying mechanism is that any Component Definition called "XXX_proxy" will be replaced by a Definition called "XXX" when in Tourtool. ie Definitions ending in "_proxy" are replaced with definitions without "_proxy" at the end.

There is a nice little feature of LightUp v1.5 that allows you to right-click on a Component Instance and switch it for a simple Proxy Component. If you have no Component Definition proxy, LightUp will create a bounding box Proxy automatically for you. Right click again to flip it back to the original definition.

This works with multiple selections of Component Instances too.

Glad its working for you. Definitely try using an intensity/grayscale map to vary the intensity of specular across a texture.
