I mean that we the creators should be able to customize how the pointer above a link looks. Size and icon. Different looks for different use.
For example like you said, if someone makeas a quest style game with dungeons maybe a fitting goblin hand where as an arch viz might want something more stylish than the ordinary windows/OSX hand icons.
But thats me. As Adam knows I want more control over all LightUp features. ;)

Next LightUp release allows setting of website address in .luca file which is opened when clicking on watermark/logo.

Also, next release of LightUp Player has an embedded (nano) web server allowing you to remotely control the player functions by browsing to special URL. The primary aim is to facilitate integration into web-based presentations.

It launches your Browser onto whatever the embedded URL is.

Give it a try, its on the server. :-) Until the next release of LightUp though, you'll not be able to create .luca files with a custom URL inside so you'll get the default of

Interested to hear feedback on the embedded webserver. If you're on the same machine as you're running LightUp Player, you should be able to open your Browser and go to:


Keep in mind these URLs are for being driven by AJAX webpages so they give info with no formatting.

thanks for updating the Help screen ! looks great .

as for the controls - not too sure what to do with those . it's not embedding,
but controlling the player through the browser? i'll try to think where it fits my needs.

in any case - your speed of response to requests is amazing. thanks :D
