Splitting iPad player screen vertically

Post by cchin » Mon Apr 28, 2014 6:19 pm

Hi Adam,
Was fiddling around with the iPad player quite a bit this weekend and one thing that I think would work better if one likes holding the iPad with two hands is to split the screen vertically so that your left side controls movement(walk) and your right controls your look.
This corresponds closely to the typical console game pad that I'm sure that quite a few of your users are familiar with. Another benefit is that you can have both hands aligned and low on the iPad maximizing screen real estate when viewing models.
It's probably an inconvenience for users to remap current controls but the long term benefits might make it something worth doing.

Overall, very pleased with the iPad player.
Keep up the good work.

Chris

I was demonstrating this new streaming graphics tech to companies in Seattle. Uses super low bandwidth but high quality visuals.
