Exact positioning and aiming

Post by lachstock » Tue Apr 15, 2014 6:00 am

HI Adam,

Just wondering if there is (or there could be) a function to position lights accurately with xyz coordinates and then aiming angles?

Also, if there could be a lighting summary that states the xyz positions and the angles as an excel output or similar?

Cheers,

Lachlan

No, not currently. We'll keep it in mind.

Just FYI, the Ruby command to set the currently selected light to a position (eg coordinate 1,2,3) would be:

Code: Select all

Sketchup.active_model.selection[0].transformation = Geom::Transformation.new([1,2,3])
