Hello Adam

I tried to install the player on my Ipad.
But requires IOS 5.2
My Ipad says the OS is Up to date 5.1.1
Can't update, can't instal...

Any help ?

Hi,

Yes, the current version requires iOS 5.2 or greater.

I don't believe there is a technical reason - just that Apple tools default to building 5.2 and higher - I will check for the future version.

I mis-stated the situation!

We now have a new iPhone / iPad iOS 5.1.1 version(v2.0.0) and it will be released once Apple Review is complete.

Hello Adam, I was trying to find the apropiate thread but couldn't find any so I think here is the right place

I just purchased the ipad app. I'm running latest lightup trial version and doing some tests I added reflections on the floor to a test model. In desktop version looks fine but ipad version doesn't show any. Am I missing something?

Thanks

Alex.

Alex,

LightUp supports 2 types of reflections. IrrCache reflections which are fast but not precise and Planar reflections which are exact but require much more GPU.

Currently, iPad LightUp Player only supports the IrrCache reflections due to some limits with OpenGL on tablets. So place an IrrCache above the floor and Group it with the floor faces to get a reflection.

We're working on providing planar reflections for a future release on iPad.

I see, I will try IrrCache reflections then, awesome app Adam.

Keep up the good work. I might purchase lightup at the end of the month :D
